Job Summary: As a
Senior Financial Analyst, you will identify sales and operational opportunities and make recommendations to leadership based on a review of historical data. The Analyst will collect and analyze financial data with a high degree of complexity and produce financial reports for the purpose of supporting management in driving revenues, reducing costs, and improving liquidity. Successful candidates will assure underlying data being used is accurate at all times.
Job Duties:Financial Partner:- Provide financial guidance to the Plant Manager on ad hoc financial analyses, including CapEx and other productivity initiatives
- Perform variance analysis at the account and project level, focused on materially favorable and unfavorable variances
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, with heavy focus on inventory accounts
- Evaluate current year equipment sales discounts and margins; provide insights into material changes year-over-year
Financial reporting:- Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting is completed accurately and timely with proper elimination and consolidation entries
- Assist in the continuous improvement related to the Business Intelligence tool for financial analysis and reporting
- Assist in providing support for financial statement audit and tax requests
Corporate cash management:- Provide analysis and support to ensure cash management and liquidity goals are met
Annual budget and monthly forecasting:- Provide analysis and support for the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
- Ensure budget and forecast reporting is completed accurately and timely
Mergers and acquisitions:- Assist with integration of newly acquired companies
Pricing and business analytics:- Review market trends and opportunities for sale of bundled equipment sales
- Provide variance analysis for sales and margin performance versus prior year and budget/forecast, highlighting drivers of over- and under-delivery
- Perform root cause analysis for lost revenue
- Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies
- Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 4 years in a Financial Analyst or related role
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- CPA or CMA preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Office, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial forecasting and analysis
- Demonstrated Knowledge of general accounting practices and account reconciliations
